After a year of using the Kensington Duo, I have to say that my experience was more of an annoyance and disappointment than a "I recommend this" experience. First - the gel setting, which was one of the reasons I chose this pad (it was supposed to have comfortable support and soft gel), cracked and leaked after a while. Suddenly I had unsightly wet spots on the pad, the gel was spilling everywhere and the whole structure had lost its strength. As a result, the washer was to be thrown away. This is unacceptable to me, as someone who works with technology on a daily basis - one expects a pad to last far longer than a few months of normal use. I tried to claim it, but it was rejected on the grounds of "mechanical damage". Now, I don't know what exactly was "mechanical" when the gel simply fell apart in normal typing and use - that strikes me more as a design or material defect than something I "caused". And the price? That was insane considering what was left of it in the end. I expected long-lasting quality, comfort and reliability - and instead I got something at a high price that lasted barely a year and then fell apart. For me, it's an experience that is more discouraging than recommendable - if you're looking for a pad that's meant to last and not something that will literally "slip through your fingers" after a year, you'd better look elsewhere.
