I upgraded from i5-6400 to this cpu and for me EXCELLENT. A lot of people underestimate this processor and overall Ultra Cory is actually a "better" copy than the ordinary intel 14 generation, and their advantage is just their Wattage and Heat consumption, where this processor even when playing AAA titles remains relatively cool mostly ~48°, I cool the cpu with Endorfy Fera 5, and even though it's "regular air cooling" the cpu stays at ambient temperatures, of course the i5 14600kf is still definitely a great choice where you save money especially because of the older platform

Even without hyperthreading it can run applications/games excelente at once
The real TDP is much lower, including W
performance on the same level as the i5 14600kf but better TDP consumption
NPU (ai accelerator) usable e.g. for programmers for local projects with AI implementation. Plus smoother AI exploits e.g. from Win 11, Copilot or in some photoshops
