The included full-size refills are a good thing, they'll cover printing for several thousand pages, connecting via AirPrint is no problem and the colour printing quality is decent. The running and purchase costs are low. Unfortunately, you can't do without the mandatory software on a Windows PC. Scanning directly from the printer isn't possible; it has to be done through an app (either the HP one or the ancient built-in Windows Scan app), but the PC almost never detects the printer this way – neither via cable nor via Wi-Fi. The same problem occurs when printing from a Windows PC; every print job starts with a 15-minute connection repair. The drivers are fine, but the PC can't connect to the printer even with the HP app, even though the printer prints without any issues via AirPrint and is online. So, the printer is mainly suitable for someone with nerves of steel, because the software is a massive weakness.
