surface is super soft and pleasant, better than Logitech for £80
quiet scroll wheel and buttons (even the side ones!), but.
Unfortunately, the left button feels different to the right one, and the left one in particular feels a bit cheap and rickety, and the click feels like it resonates through the whole mouse. I don't understand why both buttons don't have the same feedback – the right one is completely fine.
the mouse doesn't have a flat base! so when left-clicking, it tilts slightly to the front-left, even though the pads underneath are stuck on correctly from the factory! very annoying
longer and taller than I thought, it is not a classic small laptop mouse

I was looking for a mouse with a similar symmetrical shape, because I'm used to holding the mouse with my fingers on the sides (asymmetrical ergonomic models hurt my pinky finger). The HP 400 fits the hand perfectly and naturally, the geometry is very similar to the G305. The main difference is in the sound - the clicking is perfectly quiet and muffled, which is great for quiet work. The surface is very pleasant to the touch (like a soft-touch), the sensor at the bottom does not glow red and responds accurately. For those who want the shape of the G305 but in a quiet design, this is the ideal choice. I recommend it!
