I connected between TV (IN) and headphones (OUT1) and home cinema (OUT2) and there were noticeable sound dropouts (always maybe 2s good and then 1s dropout). Apparently the internal splitter doesn't work as cleanly as it might seem. I had to buy another one, powered, and I am completely satisfied with that one.
it doesn't work, I wanted to use it to split the optical audio signal from TV to stereo receiver (music) and 5.1 home theater(movies), unfortunately I didn't hear even a hint of sound from either device. when plugged in directly without a splitter, the sound goes, so I assume there is no problem in the cables. the distributor I was replacing, does not work even the second one.
