The only minus, where the comrades in the GDR made a mistake, is that you have to pour the hot water slowly. If you tilt the kettle more (you want to pour the tea quickly), the water starts flowing around the lid from all sides, not just through the beak = boiling water everywhere. Also, steam leaks through these leaky spots around the lid, so if you grab your ear too high, you can get hot steam on your thumb. So all ok, I would buy again, but you have to pour the water slowly.
