On a 6 year old Samsung TV, the sound only works the first time I turn it off and on. Then the sound doesn't go, the cable must be disconnected and unplugged. I've tried various solutions, without success. Luckily I was buying it for friends who have a 5 year old LG and it works there. And it works great! Much better than any TV software I've seen, actually. Friends are satisfied. I'm almost sorry that I can't do that and I can't replace the Samsung interface with it.
The star button can be assigned any function directly in the menu.
The YouTube and Netflix buttons can also be remapped, but not officially: it works for me using Button Mapper.
It's Android, you can put basically any app you can think of on there.
The sound was wrong with the Samsung TV (I tried different HDMI cables).
Searching for apps directly in the menu doesn't work very well. You have to go to Settings => Apps => Google Play => Launch, then you can access everything. I don't understand.
I haven't found how to press the red/green/yellow/blue button available on other TVs. Fortunately, it is rarely required.
The YouTube and Netflix buttons cannot be remapped officially, only with an external program (Button Mapper).
