The last platform from AMD and Intel I have long avoided because of the extra reporting about incompatibility with memory, CPU glitches, high failure rate of MB etc. I considered it birth pains still relat. the new transition to a new production technology. At the end of 2024 I decided it was time and purchased this board with a Ryzen 9 7900 and 192GB (4x48) RAM. However to my amazement the platform still has quite a few problems today - the Ryzen 9 I purchased was dead. Since I have not encountered a dead cpu from the factory in 30 years, then the search for the cause took quite some time. Fortunately, MB is of such high quality that it did not let the system through the Post check and stopped at the red DDR check. Which can be confusing at first, until one deduces that the cpu ddr radic is the co and not the memory itself or the incompatibility of the memory with the cpu/mb etc. Well after a few days on the forums I purchased another cpu and the system booted immediately. Really good record.
