This is my first camera, not counting my cell phone and some old analog camera. The big advantage (and disadvantage) is the size of the camera - thanks to the fact that it is really small, so you can easily take it with you on a trip and use it, on the other hand the grip of the camera is really bad and you are afraid, I bought a grip from SmallRig which improves it a lot, but it loses the point), but I have quite big hands and I got used to it, but at the beginning I often tripped on some wheel and messed up the settings. Fujifilm as a brand seems good to me and their system is quite intuitive, it has great film simulations and you can set 4 custom presets where you set the colours etc, so then the resulting photo looks really good and doesn't need any additional editing, so for beginners it's ideal. I actually find the supplied lens to be good enough and versatile enough that I don't really need to buy another one. I think as an everyday camera it's great and you like to carry it with you, which is the most important thing, because the best camera is the one you have with you, if I bought, for example. a big DSLR, I wouldn't want to take it on a trip. I'd probably choose the silver option if I could, though.
