We bought one for a 3 year old but had to return it because we would have had to wait a year or two. For a car without remote control, it doesn't have autoSTOP when you take your foot off the gas. Relatively stiff pedals, which few 3 year olds can push down, especially when the brake pedal goes. Thus, without the remote control, it ceases to make safety sense to me.
