This is the second time I’ve had this vacuum cleaner. The Wi-Fi connection kept dropping out on the first unit, so I returned it. It was returned to me after being repaired, but unfortunately it was irreparably damaged during transit, so I was given a refund. I decided to buy the same model again, as I was otherwise very satisfied with its cleaning performance. Unfortunately, after just under two months of use, the new unit is starting to show exactly the same problem with the Wi-Fi connection. I am therefore considering making another complaint. When a vacuum cleaner works as it should, it really is a great help. I really appreciate the swivelling cleaning roller, which reaches right up to the walls and into the corners, so it thoroughly vacuums and mops the floor. The cleaning results are excellent, and we hardly ever use a traditional mop anymore. What I really miss with this model, though, is the ability to view live footage from the camera directly within the app. With my previous Roborock robot vacuum cleaner, I was able to see in real time where the vacuum cleaner was going and what the camera was currently capturing whilst it was cleaning. It was a very practical feature which, surprisingly, I find is missing from this otherwise very modern model. The biggest drawback, however, is the recurring problems with the Wi-Fi connection and the app. I’ve had to reset the vacuum cleaner several times, remove it from the app and set up the whole device again. Unfortunately, these problems keep coming back. If the manufacturer were to sort out the connection issues and add a live camera feed, this vacuum cleaner would be almost flawless in my eyes.

Our Xiaomi broke after four years, so, having had a good experience with a Dyson stick vacuum, I ordered this one. The video reviews went on and on about how great it is, but none of the reviewers mentioned what a nightmare it is to ‘maintain’ the vacuum cleaner, because if you don’t do it regularly, it quickly gets clogged up; the roller never washes properly in the docking station and, even after drying, it starts to smell. And on top of that, he was leaving puddles in his wake. I’ve gone back to the Xiaomi Vacuum 5 Pro. I don’t have to take half a day’s holiday just to clean the hoover. I’ll take off my mops, wash them in the sink, and I’ll be good to go. The Dyson roller needs to dry for 24 hours …
