User-friendly router. Easy to use. Cudy interface user-friendly and clear. Bought in combination with three other mesh satellites, wi-fi coverage absolutely phenomenal and mesh without issue. Unfortunately, I had to return the router due to insufficient HW capacity for use with PPPoE+VLAN on VDSL with bonding speeds above 90 Mbps. I haven't found a way to make the router work at a higher speed than the mentioned 90 Mbps even though the WAN port is declared as 1 Gbit, obviously not for the PPPoE+VLAN combination.
Option to turn off all LEDs, absolutely TOP! other manufacturers should be inspired
Wi-Fi 6 with quality coverage
Easy commissioning
User-friendly administration interface
Severely limited administration in terms of settings
Router was not able to accept higher speed on VDSL PPPoE+VLAN bonding than 90 Mbps

This is a nice router for nice money, better in a low price level that can be switched to OpenWRT is not to be found, it's just a shame that others from CUDY with WIFI7 do not have official OpenWRT support. Let's see where the CUDY brand takes it
Price
Wifi speed measured 1.4Gbit/s via iperf3 router -> pc on wifi6
Customizability
Small
Cute
The basic firmware has interesting features
Cool operation
I don't trust the base firmware for security, too new brand to draw conclusions yet
Lightweight, but to the point where only the power cable with the router moves
only 3x LAN and 1x WAN
only 16MB NOR - at least an sd card slot would be a big plus
1Gbit LAN/WAN only

After several attempts, I managed to set it up to work as Mesh and also use cable for Mesh. I bought two right away for Mesh throughout the house. Both wi-fi and Lan ports work on both. I use them as an AP after the Miktrotik, which assigns addresses to the main Mesh router. This way I probably avoided most of the problems described in the reviews. Mikrotik gives two static addresses to the main Cudy router for its two unique MACs, and Cudy is set to obtain addresses via DHCP. Originally Cudy had a static address set and there was a problem with disconnecting wi-fi and android devices every time the network restarted and even randomly. I didn't test OpenWRT, because in the end the original system is enough for me.
Mesh
For the price in action has absolutely no competition
OpenWRT option
Mesh over cable
Cudy applications
You can turn off the LEDs
Functional Mesh and Lan ports on the device
Setting options
Clarity of settings. Czech probably translated via AI.
