I expanded the memory in the NTB from 8 GB to 24 GB (ie 8+16). Everyone discouraged me from doing it, but I have to say that even if the memories are not the same brand, everything has been working without problems for several months. I increased mainly because of lightroom and photoshop, where it helped significantly. But even playing games is much smoother and micro lags stopped appearing when the ram just got full.
