I chose this soundbar based on the positive reviews. However, the first time I plugged it in I was disappointed - a really awful tinny sound. I figured it couldn't be like that and fiddled around in the Creative App settings for a while. I tweaked the equalizer and, most importantly, switched to 5.1 surround sound, which is off by default. And then it started to play really great!. It may be a bit of an unusual transition from 2.1 speakers, but give it a chance: ) The surround sound is awesome

I returned the product because the sound was significantly worse than the vintage Logitech X-530 or the soundbar for the TV that cost half the price of the Katana (but again, it's almost twice as big). Not that the sound is bad, for games and podcasts it's probably ok, but when I put on some music I know, I thought. and where are the heights? I played around with the app, equalizer, various crystallizers, sound profiles and whatnot for almost an hour until I thought it was ok. And then I switched the sound output between headphones (Steelseries Arcits 9), analogue (logitech x530) and katana connected via usb (and then also via optics). And katana is unfortunately a different league, in this case junior. I'm terribly sorry, I was looking forward to the features and getting rid of the cables, but I wasn't expecting such a downgrade in sound, especially when it's being praised everywhere. Oh, yeah. I hope one day they make some XL version that plays properly.

When connected in front of the HDMI cable, the volume can also be controlled via the TV remote, so I am very satisfied (this does not guarantee that this will apply to all TVs in general, but in theory it should). Well, if you happen to catch it in an event, there is nothing to worry about. I can recommend it.
Too bad Alza doesn't sell the V2 version, I would get it for my TV.
