This device has three operating modes controlled by an internal computer: The first one is just an option in Mode to set the power to 1 or 2 kW + Swing mode. And it'll keep running until it dies... no matter the temperature around here. It's probably the only useful, functional mode.
The second mode is controlled by the computer inside, it lives its own life. When the temperature is set it works with 2 kW power, at the end before the set temperature it reduces the power to 1 kW, then it blows only the fan for a while, then it switches off. And it senses the temperature with a sensor inside the device, so it doesn't start heating again for maybe 10 to 15 minutes, even if the room is cool, because it's hot inside the device. In addition, it supposedly shows the RT (probably Room Temperature) on the huge display, but it is 8 to 15 degrees higher than the room temperature. Technically unsatisfactory solution, non-functional. You can set the temperature up to 49 C, then it will probably heat forever. And the huge display still shows a meaningless ambient temperature. I haven't tried the third mode of programming, but it's the second mode combined with scheduling.
If you break a single remote or lose it, you're out of luck. The device can only be switched on by an inconspicuous (incomprehensibly hidden) button on the back. And you only turn on/off the 2 kW and Swing mode. There's nothing else you can do. The front panel contains no other controls, unfortunately...
The front panel is full of icons, but the essential ones to know whether I'm in continuous heating mode or a second temperature-controlled mode are nowhere to be found. And it's needed when I'm the last one to leave the room, for example, so I don't leave the device in mode 1, which will just keep heating forever.
There are many functions, but it is mainly to heat. It looks like a smart device, but who has time to devote to it? Less is sometimes more, I guess... The controls are "User Unfriendly". The manufacturer sewed it with a hot needle, in the 21st century the quality and clarity of the control is crucial.
It still runs when switched on, even when the selected temperature is reached. I understand that the device is trying to cool the internal electronics, but it would only take a minute and it could turn off. So I' m guessing he doesn' t have a thermostat to regulate everything.
