The printer is operated as a network printer, without direct connection to a PC. Mac OS X and Windows 11 found and installed the printer without the need for additional drivers (a CD is included), for Android a print module was needed and for the old Fedora a scanner driver. All printer, print and scan functions are fully supported, which is a great advantage of standard protocols. I haven't even tried a direct connection to the PC, there is a sticker over the USB port - do not connect before installing drivers.
