This clipper is designed for hair, beards, and basically all body hair. It's a compromise, like anything else when you want a 2-in-1. You can't expect miracles. I expected the stumbling block to be with beard trimming. I have sensitive skin and a coarse beard. I've always had a problem with that. However, this clipper completely amazed me. Perfectly sharp, no pulling. The same goes for ears, nose, eyebrows, and getting a smooth shave with the foil attachment. The disappointment, however, came unexpectedly with my hair. Although, even hairdressers have trouble with my hair. I have abnormally fine hair. I wanted to give myself a buzz cut. It was basically impossible with both the adjustable hair and beard combs. Only the two-millimetre straight comb worked (the longest fixed one in the 11 in 1 set). But that was for shaping, and at that point, I had to let my wife cut my hair because I really didn't want 2mm hair. Anyone with thicker and stronger hair probably won't have a problem. But a quality, dedicated hair clipper will probably work better for everyone.
