Sturdy construction, fits very well in the hand and doesn't slip. Another advantage is the sufficiently powerful light, which stays on for a few seconds after the motor stops.
Plastic box with an integrated bit holder.
Quick-release chuck instead of a magnet
R
The locking chuck is only suitable for the included short bits with a C-type shank (fine grooves around the circumference). When using bits with an E-type shank (deep recess for ball-locking chucks, like Wera, for example), the bit has several millimetres of play in the chuck, which is unpleasant when working. The bit doesn't fall out, but it's loose. The chuck is clearly not designed for these bits.
Starting the motor just by pushing it is very addictive, but it has a major drawback. At lower torque settings, reaching the set torque doesn't stop the motor; it keeps turning and the mechanical clutch just slips, like on a classic cordless drill when it reaches the set torque. So, to stop the motor, you have to stop pushing on the screwdriver. However, the clutch slips so frequently that when you reduce the pressure on the screwdriver, the bit jumps out of the screw before the motor switches off. While this doesn't damage the screw, the bit will probably wear out when it slips at the end of every screw, even with little pressure. This doesn't happen at the highest torque settings; the motor switches off after the first slip of the clutch. Why it doesn't work this way at lower torque settings, I really don't know. But it's probably not a defect with this specific unit, because a colleague has an older version of the screwdriver, the one with the magnetic holder, and it behaves the same way. So if you're going to use the two or three highest torque settings, you'll be delighted with how well it works. If, on the other hand, you need low torque settings like me, this system probably won't suit you. Unfortunately, it can't be switched off. Another disadvantage is that the motor has no brake, so at lower torque settings, when the bit jumps out of the screw's groove after releasing the pressure, the screwdriver continues to spin for a moment. It's not a long time, but if you have a hundred terminals next to each other in a distribution board and you're undoing one screw after another, it becomes annoying. Due to these shortcomings, I had to return the screwdriver and will stick with my small Bosch cordless drill with an interchangeable chuck for E-type bits, which works very well. It's a shame, otherwise I really like the screwdriver.
At first, I was really impressed with this screwdriver. Over time, however, I began to use it in slightly more complex situations as well. Probably the biggest downside – and the reason I’m deducting a star – is that it starts automatically when you press it. You can get round this by setting it to the neutral position, getting the screwdriver into the right place (the button turns on the torch, which I see as a plus), and only then adjusting the direction of the screw and pressing down. It’s not too bad, but if I had to work with it every day, I’d probably bin it: ) The direction of the screw is at the bottom, which I find rather impractical given the way I hold the screwdriver (my thumb is usually on top). Apart from these minor annoyances, it’s a great companion and speeds up the work
The light provides sufficient illumination
I’d actually prefer the screw direction button to be at the top
It is not possible to prevent the screw from turning when the button is pressed
The third version of the screwdriver brought further improvements. The product does not seem to have adequate competition at present. Ergonomics, torque, construction, design and overall performance are the best in this price category
it is not possible to block the start by pushing and using the button
