I'm just trying it out for now, the birds haven't found the bird feeder on my balcony yet, but it might work as expected, it has a lot of features, I like the video streaming capabilities too, I might try that too.
Battery life, the feeder can record and monitor the area for several days even if it is completely cloudy even in the current winter weather, it is enough to break the sky a little and the battery will start to recharge, quite interesting is that the feeder has both a speaker and a microphone, so it can record sound but also play the sound, you can talk to the slices through the phone app xD or start the alarm and scare away uninvited guests such as pigeons, squirrels, cats. (Volume can be adjusted).
Interestingly enough, it can detect motion even at night when it is completely dark in the phone app. The app is very simple to set up and the app itself is clear even though it has quite a few setup functions.
As far as recording and species recognition is concerned, I can't judge that yet, the birds haven't discovered my feeder yet.
If you are expecting a larger visit (at the feeder) I recommend to fill up with a regular feeder in front of the camera, or at least some kind of bowl, the space under the tray is quite small.
The hopper itself can hold about 1.5kg of sunflower, the contents are gradually released as the lower part (feeding area) is emptied
