Disappointing. The product looks like dried fruit, but inside the thick layer of chocolate you will find only a small, black and shriveled poor thing that looks more like a hard raisin than a juicy cherry. It is a heavily sweetened (candied) fruit that has lost all its natural flavour and texture. It's extremely sweet, the taste of the cherry is completely lost in the sugar. For the price of over 500 CZK per kilo I expected quality dried fruit, not this sugary mass with a piece of "gummy" fruit in the middle. I don't recommend it.

These are indeed sweetened (candied) cherries, which are themselves quite sour, and are therefore traditionally combined with dark chocolate to create a distinct contrast of sweet, sour and bitter flavours. However, the candying also changes the texture and the fruit becomes denser and darker, which may at first glance appear different from what one expects from conventional dried fruit.
