It holds firmly, won't fall out on its own, more force must be used to separate the reader from the back of the case. The front side goes nicely. The reader itself recognizes that you close the cover and switches off.
As a disadvantage I consider that the packaging does not have handles into which the reader is inserted. I assume that when dropped on the ground, the magnet of the cover will not be so strong that the reader will not move and touch the ground. However, I preferred not to try. It will serve well, it just needs caution.
