Who disconnects SSD after a while in Windows -> Turn off power saving for individual USB ports:
- Press Win+X → Device Manager.
- Expand the USB bus controllers section.
- Right-click each USB Root Hub or Generic USB Hub → Properties in turn.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck the Allow computer to turn off devices to save power option.
- Confirm and do this for all relevant devices. Maybe only a high-capacity device is enough.
So far it works on Linux without having to install or set up anything. But I had to replace the USB-C cable - when I used the original one, the USB A ports didn't work
