Since I can't have my PC on cable all the time, this was the solution to connecting to the internet. I'll try a USB extension then and give it a little more room. I haven't tried it on Windows, but there are drivers on the ASUS website. It was worse on Linux. I have a Bazzite (based on Fedora) and after connecting it just got stuck, it showed Wifi settings but no networks to search for and when I tried to create a hotspot it reported an error with IWD. Since 2026 Bazzite has switched to WPA SUPPLICANT, which somehow doesn't get along with this USB wifi adapter. Well, all I had to do was throw "ujust toggle-iwd" into the terminal and it started right up. Internet, although about 250 Mbit/s (latency 2 ms). You can't put the USB adapter into USB 3.0 (the blue ones) or into the USB that your case has (from the front), because there is some problem with the power supply. Another solution is to use a powered USB Hub.
