Alza should send their service partner on Aqara to hell, because the claims process is tragic and 2x returned for no real reason. however, 4 other neighbours have the same problem with this lock after half a year, so probably some kind of general fault and the service partner does not want to claim - or does not want to.
the lock itself worked great (while it worked)

unfortunately after half a year the gears seemed to have broken off and the lock was not able to lock (interestingly only in 1 direction)
then no longer usable (until then it worked perfectly)
the process of handling the complaint through the service partner tragic - 2x returned with nonsensical reasoning (1x incomplete packaging, which certainly did not prevent the diagnosis, the second time supposedly I do not have an unpaired account even though I have it unpaired and the lock as such is put into the factory settings - even the service partner can do this) - moreover, the answer always came just before the expiration of the monthly deadline - this is interesting .
after half a year, errors with calibration and wrong position of the tongue began to appear. Subsequently, suspicious noises started coming from the lock. This resulted in the lock no longer being usable. The transmission has probably been damaged. Probably due to poor sizing of the gears. I don't know if there are plastic wheels inside. Anyway, when turning the key manually, everything goes smoothly and should not be a problem for the lock.
Sent for complaint.
If you are lucky and manage to set everything up right the first time, you will be happy with the locks.
I have 3 locks, after half a year of claiming one, I will be sending the second one - the internal gears are rotating, so the lock doesn't work.
Hell to get it to homekit - I have the procedure memorized, but it still throws errors randomly and only manages to add it after a few (same procedure, random errors).
Hub M3 is absolutely useless. The ONLY thing that allows remote control is locking, unlocking and sending a one-time code. All other functions, such as settings, adding users, and access logs, are only available when you are directly connected via Bluetooth. Thus, a complete waste of money for the hub. Other systems allow this). Up to 5 prints can be stored per user, but ONLY a MAXIMUM of 25 prints in total. So I should probably count 5 users. I couldn't find it anywhere in the technical documentation or reviews, and I looked for it honestly. I didn't find out until I had the wall drilled, the wiring strung, the lock unpacked, installed, tested. and I tried to add a 26th imprint. Tech support is shaky. The one they offered me was a $20 discount. No solution. NFC cards only read their own Aqara, no foreign tags. Conclusion: Good hardware, good fingerprint reader, good, solid lock. Whoever wrote the software should be fired for an hour.

Great satisfaction so far. I didn't have much confidence to install the three screws from the sides directly onto the insert, but it holds like nailed. The lock itself is really nice and well made, you can also feel it on its weight: -) Locking on unlocking is very fast, noisy I would say just right. A silent mode can also be set. You can also set the hold on the reed to the desired time. So far I've only used the Aqara app, homekit and HA are still to come.
Perfect device, we use it in the apartment mainly for opening doors and we can't get enough of it with my wife. There is no need to carry handles, opening is faster and more comfortable. A nice bonus is control from Apple Home and the ability to add a guest for a specific time window (you need to have e.g. Homepod or Apple TV)
