It's my first reader. I was worried about the ads and the fact that it doesn't have an SD card. In the end, for nothing. The ads don't bother me at all, I just have a nice saver that changes regularly. The backlight is the absolute cruel thing that made me put off buying a reader for years, I didn't want to shine my headlamp on the display. It's not an absolutely perfect device, but it's getting pretty close. Occasionally, when I want to go back a page, it understands the gesture as another page forward, but this happens only once and then it turns correctly in both directions. You can hardly feel it in your hand, so it's quite a relief compared to holding a real book for longer. What is not finished is the library interface. You can either make logically sorted folders or just put them in one pile, but that means you'll be scrolling or moving books back and forth depending on alphabetical order. And scrolling takes a while due to the e-ink display redraw delay, plus it's the main thing that eats your battery. Definitely buy a hard case, the reader is so tiny you can easily shake it. I certainly don't regret this purchase.
