I use it for external drives and it meets expectations. For anyone thinking of buying the 1.8-metre version, you might not get the full 40Gbps out of it. The technical specifications for 40Gbps speeds are for lengths up to about 0.8–1 metre with passive E-Mark chips. If an active E-Mark chip were used, there shouldn't be a problem with a longer length.
High transmission speeds
PD up to 240W (tested with a laptop up to 100W that supports USB-C charging, all OK)
The thickness of the cable might be a problem for some people.
