Not recommended for very heavy monitors. My 34" 7kg monitor slides down the rod, and tightening the screw more firmly would only destroy the thread. I had to pad the arm with a metal thermal cup to stop it sliding down. My smaller monitor which weighs 4 kg but holds without a problem.
