I don't know what I did wrong, but I followed the video instructions and I still had visible stains from the application fluid left under the film. I tried to smooth it out for several minutes, then I just took it straight off and threw it away.
Oh, and it definitely does not "feel like glass"; to the touch, it's just like some kind of rubber.
