If you don't want to or can't spend 20k on a monitor, then this is the best choice you can make. The monitor has a quality panel that doesn't overheat like cheaper competitors. The higher brightness is also a bonus, but the most important thing is the response and frequency, which you will only benefit from connecting via DP. However, if you want to drive the colors to 10bit, you need to lower the frequency below 144. You simply need to dig into the settings to enjoy the colours. HDR can only be set without the blue light blocker, but generally it doesn't matter anyway so you can play around with the settings to your satisfaction. The advertised brightness can only be fully exploited with HDR. You can save profiles on the monitor with your favourite settings and then just switch quickly if you're playing in the sun or depending on the game. I didn't notice any blurring or tearing in FPS games. This is an unbeatable monitor in the price range, but it requires manual tweaking and not all of its parameters can be used in one setup anyway so I would recommend it.
