High performance with Intel Xeon processors
The device uses two Intel Xeon Silver 4314 processors for efficient processing of enterprise applications. Error-correcting DDR4 ECC RDIMM memory prevents system-wide failures and corrects errors when processing large data volumes. Data storage
The storage offers a total of 24 bays for 2.5" drives, 16 of which support the U.2 PCIe NVMe interface and 8 a combined U.2 PCIe NVMe/SATA interface. In addition, there are two integrated M.2 slots for NVMe PCIe Gen 3 drives. The read speed is 15371MB/s and the write speed is 17198MB/s for sequential data transfer. Wide network connectivity
The basic configuration includes four 2.5GbE network ports and two high-speed 25GbE ports with support for iSER and SR-IOV technologies to optimise virtualisation. Four PCIe Gen 4 slots offer the option to install additional adapters, M.2 SSD expansion cards or Fibre Channel cards. Storage reliability
Two redundant power supplies with a total output of 2400W in a 2×1200W configuration ensure stable and continuous operation. In the event of an unexpected failure of one power module, the system continues to run without interrupting services. The hot-swap function lets you replace drives during full operation for easier maintenance and reduced unplanned downtime. The cooling system consists of six 60mm fans that maintain an optimal operating temperature between 0 and 35°C.
QuTS hero operating system
The system uses the QuTS hero operating system, based on the ZFS file system, which contributes to high data integrity and protection against corruption. The software automatically finds and corrects silent data corruption and offers advanced features to reduce the overall data volume. Inline data deduplication reduces storage consumption and helps save free space on the installed SSDs. Additionally, ZIL technology protects unwritten data from corruption during a sudden power failure.
Security and virtualisation
The device supports hardware-accelerated 256-bit AES encryption to protect sensitive business information from unauthorised access. The storage fully meets the requirements for server virtualisation and extensive virtual desktop infrastructure. NFS over RDMA technology reduces data transfer latency and significantly speeds up demanding computations in AI applications. Ransomware protection works via WORM folders, which prevent accidental overwriting or deletion of stored files.
