There are also two M.2 NVMe slots for installing SSDs and enabling SSD cache support. Users can use SSD cache technology to speed up access to frequently used files. The system supports hot-swapping drives without having to shut down the entire device.
Reliable power and cooling

The QTS operating system provides tools for comprehensive protection of business data. Users can create system snapshots for quick recovery in the event of a disaster, preventing information loss. The device supports automatic data synchronisation between several independent storage units. Also available is cloud backup, backup to a remote NAS, and full compatibility with Apple Time Machine.
Virtualisation and cloud services
The storage serves as a platform for running virtual machines and containers. The system can host database, web, and FTP servers on a local network, including iSCSI and a download server. Integrated technologies make it easy to connect to a camera system for recording footage from IP cameras.
