Dual-mode design
The device operates in two modes: as a handheld portable instrument or a desktop microscope. Microscope illumination
The lighting system works with both incident and transmitted light depending on the type of material being examined, combining the advantages of a stereo microscope and a biological microscope. The bottom and top illumination helps reveal the structures of both opaque and transparent specimens. The integrated light source is complemented by stepless brightness adjustment and an intelligent image staining function. The system electronically changes the background colours to purple, green, yellow, orange, red, or white to enhance contrast.
Digital recording and memory
The 2MP CMOS sensor captures high-resolution photos and video recordings for subsequent analysis. Data is saved directly to the 8GB internal storage, which can hold a large number of files. Users can save captured images directly to the memory without needing to transfer them to another device immediately. This simplifies fieldwork where an instant connection to a computer or external storage medium is not available.
Connectivity
The wireless Wi-Fi connection facilitates real-time image transmission to mobile phones and tablets. A USB-C interface is used to connect to a computer, which also serves for power and data transfer. The MatataXplore software helps with precise measurement of the dimensions of examined objects on a computer monitor. The program supports measuring lengths, distances of points from a line, angles, circle radii, and the area of rectangles.
Continuous zoom and calibration
The microscope offers continuous magnification ranging from 9× to 72× on the built-in screen. The equipment includes a calibration ruler with marked divisions from 0.03mm to 2mm for precise determination of specimen dimensions. Users perform calibration using the marked segments and the software interface on a connected computer. After calibration, they can apply the measured data for calculations directly in the program.
