Into the water

Beware of the still waters, you never know what lies in them...
Many women's lives have ended in the depths of the river that runs through Beckford, but no one expected to find Nel Abbott's body there. After Nel's unexpected death, her sister Julia returns to town to identify the remains and care for her orphaned niece.
Julia, who swore an oath, he'll never come back to Beckford, now struggling with a flood of unwelcome memories, but most of all, he's looking for why Nel had to die. Was it an accident, suicide, or murder? And is her death somehow connected to the suicide of a girl found at the bottom of the river that same summer?
The second novel by Paula Hawkins, whose debut The Girl on the Train became a worldwide phenomenon.
