The Danfoss Regus® 015G3630, M30x1.5 thermostatic head uses liquid filling technology to provide optimum response time and a compact size to suit most applications. The thermostatic head is installed on the radiator valve. The combination of thermostat and radiator valve controls the temperature in individual rooms at a given set point by adjusting the hot water flow through the radiator. The Danfoss Regus® thermostatic head can be used for all types of heating applications, including applications with a narrow calculated P-band.

Principle of function
Thermostatic heads are proportional controllers that regulate the heat supply according to the difference between the temperature set on the sensor and the ambient air temperature detected by the thermostat. A thermally expandable element (bellows) responds to room temperature by proportional expansion or contraction. The motion is transmitted to the control element of the thermostatic valve. The thermostatic sensor regulates the amount of water flowing into the radiator to the appropriate level of flow required to maintain the room temperature at the set level. The Danfoss Regus® range of thermostatic control valves are equipped with liquid-filled bellows, ensuring a rapid response to changes in ambient temperature.
Temperature setting
The desired room temperature is set by turning the adjustment knob. The temperature scales show the relationship between the values on the scale and the room temperature. These temperature values are only approximate, as the actual room temperature will often be affected by installation conditions. Securing and limiting the temperature setpoint of Danfoss Regus® thermostatic controllers is done by invisible stops located on the side of the sensor. The procedure is described in the instructions.
