The ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS motherboard with the AMD B650 chipset and AM5 socket provides a robust foundation for builds with AMD Ryzen™ Desktop processors. This ATX format board features four DDR5 slots with overclocking support up to 6400MHz, two PCIe x16 slots, two PCIe x1 slots, and three M.2 connectors for fast storage. The 12+2+2 power stage system ensures stable operation even under heavy load. Connectivity includes USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, four SATA III ports and an eight-channel sound card. Powerful power delivery system and military-grade components
The power solution with 12+2+2 power stages, each rated to handle 60 amps, provides ample power for all compatible AMD processors. The eight- and four-pin ProCool connectors ensure full contact with the power supply cables and reduce impedance, which prevents overheating. Military-grade TUF components include chokes and capacitors with a 52% wider temperature tolerance and 2.5× longer lifespan than standard components. The integrated Digi+ VRM module optimises voltage delivery to achieve maximum system stability under all operating conditions.
Next-generation memory support and storage
The board supports DDR5 memory with ASUS OptiMem II technology for optimal signal stability and lets you use AMD EXPO profiles for easy overclocking. ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile is available for modules without EXPO support. One M.2 slot supports PCIe 5.0 x4 with transfer speeds up to 128Gbps, while two additional slots offer PCIe 4.0 x4. All M.2 slots are equipped with dedicated heatsinks to ensure optimal operating temperatures and support NVMe RAID configurations. Four SATA III ports complete the storage connectivity options.
Port selection and connectivity
The rear panel includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port with transfer speeds up to 20Gbps, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, DisplayPort and HDMI outputs for integrated graphics, a Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet port and eight-channel audio outputs. The front panel connectors let you connect a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and additional USB ports. The board offers four PWM/DC fan headers with the ability to individually set fan curves based on three temperature sensors via Fan Xpert 4. RGB lighting can be connected to three addressable headers.
