Connectivity and networking features
Networking hardware includes Realtek 1Gb Ethernet with proprietary TUF LANGuard technology, which provides protection against surges and electrostatic discharge for a stable network connection. Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) with support for MU-MIMO and dual 2.4/5GHz frequency bands, including HT20/HT40/HT80 channel bandwidth. Bluetooth 5.0 enables connection of wireless peripherals. The board comes with a movable Wi-Fi antenna for optimal signal reception. This combination of features ensures flexible connectivity, both wired and wireless.
Storage and port selection
The motherboard offers one M.2 slot (Key M) type 2242/2260/2280 supporting both PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA modes, and four SATA 6Gb/s ports with support for RAID 0, 1 and 10. The rear panel is equipped with four USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, while internal headers let you expand your computer with an additional two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and three USB 2.0 ports. DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.1 with 4K@60Hz support, and D-Sub video outputs are also available for compatibility with older monitors. The Realtek ALC887/897 sound card delivers 7.1-channel audio, complemented by audio shielding and high-quality capacitors to ensure a clean output.
TUF PROTECTION technologies
The ASUS TUF PROTECTION motherboard provides a comprehensive suite of safety technologies. DIGI+ VRM ensures a stable power supply to the processor, ESD Guards protect against electrostatic discharge, TUF LANGuard strengthens the network interface, and Overvoltage Protection prevents surge damage. SafeSlot Core+ reinforces the PCIe slots with metal braces, and the stainless steel rear panel extends the overall life of the board. Reliable thermal management is supported by a robust VRM heatsink and three 4-pin PWM headers (CPU fan + 2× chassis fan), which can be controlled in detail via the Fan Xpert 2+ software.
